Families of FANA of WNY helps to provide critically needed resources for the children of FANA (the Foundation for the Assistance of Abandoned Children) in Bogotá, Colombia. FANA cares for many children who will never be adopted, including children who need protection and children with special needs.

Through the dollars raised at this event, our WNY community has helped FANA cover day to day operating expenses for the orphanage as well as help them establish a new school and educational programs to care for the Children of FANA. The event also funds our local Colombian Heritage week where adopted children from across the WNY area spend a full week in camp learning about Hispanic culture, food, music, and history. FANA needs our help to make sure all of these great efforts continue.

Through FANA, thousands of children have found loving, permanent homes. Many other children have received temporary care, including nutrition, shelter, clothing, medical and dental care, and schooling before returning to their birth families.
