Dear Friends of FANA:

I am proud to be working on Families of FANA of WNY’s 2018 outreach campaign. Our goal is to raise $35,000 for a private orphanage located in Bogotá, Colombia to help them build a new school for their children and their surrounding neighborhoods.  FANA (the Spanish acronym for the Foundation for the Assistance of Abandoned Children) is supported by our local network of over 400 families who have completed or are in the process of completing an adoption through FANA.

Through FANA, thousands of children have found loving, permanent homes. Many other children have received temporary care, including nutrition and shelter, clothing, medical and dental care, and schooling before returning to their birth families.

In addition to helping FANA Bogota build a school this year, we will continue to provide adoption and educational services to families who have completed or are in the process of adoption. We promote a social and cultural connection for families from Western New York, Ontario, and Pennsylvania to foster our children’s appreciation and understanding of Colombian culture.
